1

Bring what you do/sell/provide to your shoot! Take images of what you are selling or providing your audience - take photos of you doing what you do best!

2

Considering what message you want to convey through your images is essential. For example, a brand may want to convey the idea of wanting to serve your audience something that you know can better their lives. So show how these services or products can better their lives! Photograph before & after images of someone who's used your product/service. Show how using your product/service can make someone's life easier. Try to identify the experience you want to provide your clients, and then brainstorm ways to depict that through images!

3

Make a mood board on Pinterest and share it with your photographer! Printing inspiration photos is also helpful to refer to when you’re posing and styling products the day of your photoshoot.

4

Don't be afraid to be authentic! The most important thing is representing yourself and what your business stands for. If you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, then that is perfect! Relatability and authenticity is key - your clients will definitely see and appreciate this through your images.

5

Bring a friend to help! Bringing someone along can help you feel more comfortable, and helps the photoshoot go smoothly! As you get ready, the extra support to help prepare your outfits and products is always a bonus! Make this a fun experience for you both and grab lunch after.
