4 Poses You Need to Capture During Your Engagement Shoot
Getting ready for an engagement photoshoot can be a bit nerve wracking for many, since it’s often the first professional photoshoot most people experience. We’re here to help you make sure you and your fiancé are captured as authentically and beautifully as possible!
The Milan Studio at The Ruby Manor is a go-to space for many photographers in the GTA to take engagement photos. The Manor’s in-house photographer, Rose Gold Productions, photographed engagement photos for Akwasi and Nancy, and the photos look like they belong in the next issue of Vanity Fair! We absolutely recommend choosing a photographer you know will make you feel confident and comfortable the day of your shoot.
Here are our top 4 poses, and tips to achieving them with your couple, for an engagement session in our Milan Studio!
1.Power poses on the white couch
Posing in ways other than traditionally seated on a couch creates dynamic photos! Try sitting on arm rests, or leaning on the back of the couch to create natural and intimate moments. Don’t be afraid to do what feels natural! Take hold of your partner’s jacket, or kiss their forehead. Whatever feels good in the moment will shine through the photos.
2. Intimate photos in front of the artwork
The artwork in Milan is stunning, and is the perfect neutral backdrop for capturing sweet, close-up moments. Now is the time to get close and cuddly with your fiancé!
3. Endearing looks at our grand piano
Our grand piano is the perfect place to pose for elegant photos. Keeping poses natural here creates a more relaxed vibe around the piano. Don’t be afraid to laugh with one another to keep you both at ease. If one of you knows how to play the piano, now is also your time to shine!
4. Candid shots in front of the fireplace
Don’t forget to let loose! Turn on some music and dance to your favorite song. And definitely don’t forget to show off that ring!
This photoshoot with Akwasi and Nancy was extremely special, as they also had their proposal here at The Ruby Manor as well. We love growing with our guests, and getting to be a part of their journey! Congratulations to the beautiful couple, we wish you all the best!
